Jibble vs ClockShark: Which Time Clock Is Better in 2025?

Hi, I’m Asim Qureshi, CEO and co-founder of Jibble, the software that’s quickly becoming the new standard in time and attendance tracking.

As a CEO, I know how critical reliable time tracking is for any business. It keeps projects on track, ensures payroll accuracy, and ultimately protects your bottom line.

ClockShark has built a solid reputation as a time tracking software, especially for field-service teams. Their focus on job management and scheduling has earned them many loyal users.

But while it serves many field-service teams well, today’s businesses need an alternative to ClockShark that’s faster, more flexible, more intuitive, and more affordable, like Jibble.

Jibble doesn’t just match ClockShark in terms of features, functionality and performance, I can confidently say it surpasses it.

And in the spirit of healthy competition, and my commitment to helping businesses adopt modern, scalable solutions, I want to share why Jibble is the smarter, more future-ready choice for most organizations.

Now, this isn’t just my view. Companies like Tesla, CEPCO, Pepsi, Hyundai, and Harvard University rely on Jibble to track time accurately for their workforce. Their trust speaks for itself, and it may be worth considering whether Jibble is the right move for your team too.

1. Pricing & Value

When comparing time-tracking tools, pricing is usually one of the first things that comes up.

And for good reason. Costs can add up quickly, especially as your team grows. That’s why Jibble’s free plan immediately stands out when comparing both platforms.

Unlike many “free” plans that feel more like limited trials, Jibble’s no-cost version actually covers a wide range of practical features like automated timesheets, custom breaks, overtime rules, GPS tracking, biometric verification, NFC/RFID clock-ins, unlimited activities and clients, screenshot capture, basic policies, unlimited integrations, exportable reports, and even automated geofencing clock-ins

For small teams, that’s more than enough to get genuinely useful time tracking running without paying a cent.

One user puts it simply:

“Easy to start recording time straight away. I am very pleased that the full offering is free for sole operators.” – Gordon G (Source: Capterra)

ClockShark, on the other hand, takes a more traditional pricing approach.

Their entry plan starts at $40/month + $9 per user, and the Pro plan jumps to $60/month + $11 per user once you need features like PTO or multi-department controls. It doesn’t take long for that to add up, which is something several reviewers have mentioned:

“ClockShark can be pricey for larger teams, and it needs internet or GPS access to work properly. Some users may find the setup or mobile app a bit tricky at first.” – Abigail C. (Source: Capterra

Overall Cost Level Suitable for teams of all sizes Can be costly for growing teams

I will add that ClockShark’s pricing structure can work well for larger field crews that genuinely need advanced job-costing and scheduling features, but those tools are really built with construction and contracting teams in mind.

For many other businesses, that level of specialization just isn’t necessary, and in those cases, Jibble delivers all the core time-tracking essentials at a far more affordable price point.

2. Mobile Reliability

Anyone who tracks time on mobile apps knows how quickly battery issues can become a real nuisance. One ClockShark user described their experience as:

“Absolutely demolishes your battery. It’s even worse than the previous version. Losing nearly 10% an hour, never had that issue before using this app. I can only imagine the wear and tear this will put on my device overtime.” –  (Source: Play Store)

By comparison, Jibble doesn’t seem to have earned any complaints about draining devices so far.

In fact, it maintains 4.7 stars on Google Play and 4.8 on the App Store, versus ClockShark’s 3.9 and 2.9 stars.

Safe to say, your phone might actually thank you for using Jibble.

3. Customer Support

When it comes to time-tracking software, smooth integrations and responsive support are often just as important as the features themselves.

After all, even the best software can slow you down if connecting it to payroll, project management, or scheduling tools is complicated or if you can’t get help when something goes wrong.

Some ClockShark users have run into these challenges:

“Not good with the integration portion of their program and the feedback from staff was minimal.” – Kayla J (Source: Capterra)

By contrast, Jibble users generally find the experience straightforward and supportive:

“Support is just amazing. Everytime I have an issue I will just email and get a prompt answer and solution. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff.” – Omelia R.(Source: Capterra)

4. Reporting

Accurate reporting is the backbone of effective time tracking, but not all software makes it easy to actually understand your data. ClockShark users have noted that their reporting features can feel limited:

“Reporting features could be more detailed.” – Verified Reviewer (Source: Capterra)

Jibble takes a more straightforward approach. Users consistently mention that reports are clear, well-organized, and easy to read. As one user puts it:

The reports are clear, the design is clean, and I can easily see how much time I’ve spent on each project or client. It just works — no learning curve, no confusion.” – Fabio V (Source: Capterra)

For businesses that need to make quick, informed decisions without spending hours deciphering spreadsheets, having reporting that “just works” can make a noticeable difference.

It’s simple, practical, and lets you focus on the work that matters instead of wrestling with the software.

5. Integrations

Integrations can make or break a time-tracking tool, especially if your team relies on multiple platforms for payroll, project management, or client reporting.

Although ClockShark has 8 native integrations and Zapier connection, some users find these options limiting:

“Limited integrations, lack of customization in reports.” – Sylla N (Source: Capterra)

Jibble, on the other hand, offers a wide range of native integrations and also supports Zapier, making it easy to connect with almost any platform in your workflow. One user summarized it well:

“It’s very convenient, it even lets you try it for free, it has a lot of convenient integrations to adapt with your company needs.” – Anyull B (Source: Capterra)

For teams looking to streamline their processes without constantly switching between apps, Jibble’s flexibility makes integration feel less like a chore and more like a natural part of day-to-day operations.

Why Jibble Makes Sense for Most Teams

Selecting a time-tracking software is choosing reliability, ease of use, and overall value for your team. Across pricing, mobile performance, reporting, integrations, and support, Jibble consistently provides a practical solution that works for a wide variety of teams.

After my review of ClockShark, I conclude that the software has its strengths for sure, particularly for construction-focused teams needing advanced job costing and scheduling.

But for most businesses, Jibble covers the essentials, and often at a lower or no cost, with less complexity, and with smoother mobile and desktop performance.
