This Article Covers:

1. Jibble Time Card Calculator

Jibble’s free time card calculator is easy to figure out and use. Simply plug in your start time and end time, as well as the start time and end time of your breaks. The tool will then calculate the total number of hours worked, which appears in hours and minutes as well as in decimal form.

The Jibble calculator also has a section for calculating overtime, which helps ensure that your business stays compliant with FLSA overtime guidelines. There’s an option for you to choose which overtime laws to factor into your calculations, including FLSA overtime laws, California state overtime laws, and Canada ESDC laws. In addition, you have the option of rounding to 5 minutes, 6 minutes, and 10 minutes, as well as the option to go from a weekly time card to a biweekly time card.

This is a customizable and flexible time card calculator that helps businesses make sure that they have accurate timekeeping records for correct payroll.

Key Features

  • Allows you to input the start and end times of breaks
  • Customizable base pay rate and currency
  • Weekly or biweekly calculations
  • Allows you to input overtime pay rate
  • 12-hour or 24-hour format options
  • Option to round to 5, 6, or 10 minutes
  • Shareable via a link

2. Calculator.net Time Card Calculator

There’s a lot you can do with Calculator.net’s time card calculator, even though its interface looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 2000s. However, don’t let the outdated appearance fool you. This calculator is highly useful, versatile, and can be adapted to different kinds of businesses.

First, the calculator allows you to round time to the nearest 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 1 hour. You can also choose whether or not to include payment information, such as the employee’s hourly wage and overtime pay rate. In addition, you can copy the first day’s values to automatically fill in the values for the rest of the week’s work days. Once you’re done, you can save the values to the browser you’re using.

While I really like this calculator, I feel that the interface should be improved. It looks way too outdated, but it works well so I can’t complain much. Moreover, I wish that there was an option to export the time card as a spreadsheet or a PDF file. Right now, you only have the option to print out the time card, which I don’t think is sufficient.

Key Features

  • Allows you to copy the previous day’s time entries
  • Includes options for rounding up or down
  • Base pay rate and overtime pay rate
  • Can be saved to the browser
  • Printable time card

3. Clockify Time Card Calculator

Clockify offers one of the most flexible and comprehensive free time card calculators I’ve seen. You can input the exact duration of breaks, allowing for more accurate time tracking and pay calculation. You can also choose whether or not you want the tool to calculate pay as well as the number of overtime hours. Furthermore, you’ll be able to input the employee’s hourly wage and overtime pay rate.

There isn’t much that I don’t like about this construction time card calculator. It’s easy to use, it has a clean interface, and it allows you turn several features on and off.

Key Features

  • Option to input the start and end times of breaks
  • Customizable base pay rate and currency
  • Allows you to input overtime pay rate
  • 12-hour or 24-hour format options
  • Printable and can be exported as a CSV file

4. QuickBooks Time Card Calculator

Aside from the QuickBooks Time app, QuickBooks also offers a time card calculator. This calculator has the features I typically like to see, such as the opportunity to input the hourly base wage as well as the overtime pay rate. Aside from the gross number of hours worked, it can also show you the number of overtime hours.

As a bonus, it also has an auto-fill option that automatically populates the values for the rest of the work week once you’ve filled in the values for the first work day. In addition, it gives you the option to use either a weekly or biweekly timesheet.

Key Features

  • Allows you to input base pay and overtime pay rate
  • Weekly or biweekly
  • Auto-fill feature
  • Downloadable CSV file

5. TimeCardCalculator.net

TimeCardCalculator.net’s tool is one of the best out there, allowing you to add as much relevant information to an employee’s time card as possible. It’s highly customizable, so you’ll be able to adjust the time clock format, adjust the pay period from 1 week up to 4 weeks, add one or two breaks to workday calculations, and more.

You can toggle all these options so that you can include the data you want to include and remove the data you don’t think is necessary. This makes this calculator flexible and suitable for a wide variety of businesses.

Like Calculator.net’s time card calculator, however, this one has quite an outdated interface. Another thing I don’t like is that it takes you to a different page if you want to make adjustments to the calculator. I’m not sure why it works this way when most other calculators I’ve encountered have all its controls on just one page.

Key Features

  • Base pay rate and overtime pay rate
  • Adjustable time clock format
  • Pay periods from 1 week up to 4 weeks
  • One, two, or no breaks
  • Option to automatically deduct breaks
  • Allows decimal hour format and decimal hour rounding

6. Time Card Calculator Geek

Because Time Card Calculator Geek’s tool is so customizable, it’s earned its place on this list. You can choose what data to include, so you can make it as simple or as detailed as you want it to be. There’s an option to go from a weekly to biweekly timesheet, and you can also choose to include one, two, or no breaks per workday.

In addition, you can choose to implement rounding time values to 15 minutes, and you can also use military time or decimal time. One thing that I haven’t seen in most other construction time card calculators is the inclusion of sick hours and vacation hours, which allows you to add this detail whenever necessary.

Key Features

  • Base pay rate and overtime pay rate
  • Weekly or biweekly calculations
  • One, two, or no breaks
  • Allows decimal hour and military time format
  • Option to round to 15 minutes
  • Printable and can be exported as a PDF file

7. My Hours Time Card Calculator

The My Hours time card calculator is highly customizable and allows you to calculate hours worked as well as gross pay. You can choose whether or not to add breaks, set the hourly rate, set the overtime pay rate, and more. In addition, you can add absences to your time card and include them in your calculations.

The calculator is also easy and intuitive to use, even with all the bells and whistles. The interface is nice and clean, and I like how it uses muted colors so it’s easy on the eyes and not intimidating to work with. Once you’re done with your calculations, you can send the finished time card to a custom URL or an email, or you can also download it as a PDF.

Key Features

  • Allows you to input the start and end times of breaks
  • Customizable base pay rate and currency
  • Allows you to input overtime pay rate
  • Option to add absences
  • 12-hour or 24-hour format options
  • Can be sent to a URL or email, or downloaded as a PDF

8. CalculateHours Time Card Calculator

If you’re looking for a simpler time card calculator that doesn’t have too many bells and whistles, the CalculateHours tool is a good choice. It will allow you to input the employee’s hourly rate, so it can also calculate how much an employee has earned in a work week. It will also show the total hours worked in decimal form or hh:mm form.

However, the calculator doesn’t allow you to input overtime pay rates. It also won’t calculate overtime hours. Thus, I think it’s a good choice if your employees aren’t paid overtime. On the other hand, if they’re entitled to overtime pay, you’ll have to make the calculations for that yourself.

Key Features

  • Decimal and hh:mm form
  • Printable and can be emailed

9. Buddy Punch Time Card Calculator

Buddy Punch’s free time card calculator is a lot like Clockify’s. It’s versatile and offers a lot of customization options. You can choose whether or not to include overtime hours and overtime pay in your calculations, input hourly salary and overtime pay rate, and calculate weekly or biweekly rates. In addition, you can input the exact clock-in and clock-out times as well as the exact duration of break times.

The page also includes step-by-step instructions on how to use the calculator on the right side of the tool. However, I would have preferred it if the instructions were positioned below the calculator instead so it wouldn’t take up too much space on the page. The calculator is intuitive and easy to use, so you won’t always need to refer to the instructions anyway.

Key Features

  • Allows you to input the start and end times of breaks
  • Includes options for rounding up or down
  • Allows you to input overtime pay rate
  • Weekly or biweekly calculations
  • Includes breakdown of regular pay and overtime pay
  • Printable time card

10. Connecteam Time Card Calculator

The Connecteam time card calculator boasts a clean and streamlined interface that’s easy to use. It also gives you a lot of customization options, which is why it’s one of my top picks. You can input the exact clock-in and clock-out times, as well as the exact duration of lunch breaks.

The tool will then calculate the total number of hours worked per day on a weekly or biweekly basis. It will also provide you with a breakdown of regular and overtime hours, as well as regular and overtime pay. These features are what make this tool one of the top construction time card calculators.

Key Features

  • Allows you to input overtime pay rate
  • Weekly or biweekly calculations
  • Includes breakdown of regular pay and overtime pay
  • Printable and can be exported as a CSV or PDF file
