How do I track time in Hubspot?

Efficient time tracking is crucial for staying organized and productive in HubSpot. Whether you’re a marketer, salesperson, or manager, keeping tabs on your activities is essential. With Jibble’s Chrome Time Tracking Extension, you can seamlessly integrate time tracking directly into your HubSpot workflow.

Installing Jibble’s Chrome Extension

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots (menu) in the top-right corner to open the Chrome menu.
  3. Select “Extensions” and then click on “Visit Chrome Web Store”.
  4. Alternatively, type “Chrome Web Store” into the Chrome address bar and tap on the web store to access it.
  5. Search for Jibble Time Tracker.

  7. Once the extension is successfully installed, you should see a Jibble icon in your Chrome toolbar.
  8. Click on the puzzle piece icon located in your toolbar.

  1. Click on the Jibble icon located in your Chrome toolbar.
  2. Sign in to your Jibble account, or if you’re new to Jibble, create a free account.
  3. Click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the extension.
  4. Tap on Integrations.

Tracking time in HubSpot

After successfully installing and integrating Jibble’s timer extension with HubSpot, you’ll be able to conveniently track time directly within HubSpot using a variety of methods.

  • Using the embedded Jibble timer 
  1. Open up HubSpot and log in to your account.
  2. Go to the specific task, project or ticket within HubSpot that you want to track time for.
  3. Look for a “Jibble in” button within HubSpot, typically located near the task details.Embedded Jibble in timer in HubSpot
  4. Click on the Jibble in button.
  5. A small pop-up window will appear, allowing you to select an activity and project if necessary.
  6. Notes will be automatically filled based on your task titles.

  9. When you’ve completed your work on the task, click on the Jibble Out button to clock out.Clocking out directly in HubSpot

  • Using keyboard shortcuts
  1. Click on the Jibble icon located in your browser’s toolbar.
  2. Navigate to the top-right corner and click on the three horizontal lines.
  3. Access the Settings option.
  4. Activate the toggle for Keyboard Shortcuts.Enabling keyboard shortcuts for chrome extension
  5. Once enabled, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S (Windows) or Command+Shift+S (Mac) to initiate clocking in.
  6. Use the same keyboard commands to clock out when your work is completed.

Note: When utilizing keyboard shortcuts to clock in, the activity and project previously used (if any) will be automatically tagged. There won’t be any input for notes.


  • Using right clicks

Note: With right click clock ins, the previously used activity and project (if any) will be automatically tagged. There won’t be any input for additional notes.


  • Using text highlighting
  1. Go to the specific task, project or ticket within HubSpot that you want to track time for.
  2. Within the task or project details, highlight any text that you want to automatically convert into notes when clocking in.

  4. The clock-in screen will appear with your notes preloaded.
  5. If necessary, select an activity and project.
