Onboarding to Jibble: Freelancers
Get started with Jibble as a freelancer — set up your workspace and start tracking time in minutes.
Welcome to Jibble’s time tracking software! If you’re a freelancer, you can easily create your own workspace and start tracking time for your projects — all in one place.
This guide walks you through how to set up your workspace, create schedules, and customize time tracking rules so you can start Jibbling in no time.
Follow the steps below to set up your freelancer workspace:
- Once you’ve signed up for an account, click Create under Create a new organization.
- Under I’m a freelancer, select Create your workspace.
- Then fill in your organization details:
- Organization name
- Country
- Phone number
- Industry
- Click Continue to move to the next step.
- Once your workspace is created, you’ll see a message welcoming you to Jibble.
- Click Start onboarding to begin your setup process.
- Create your work schedule – your work schedule defines your working days, hours, and breaks.
- Enter a schedule name, choose your work arrangement (Fixed, Flexible, or Weekly), and select your working days.
- Set your start and end times, or click Copy to all if the same times apply to all days.
- Toggle Include time tracked before start time to decide if early hours count toward total work time.
- Under Breaks, enter the break name, duration, and whether it’s paid or unpaid.
- Optionally check Allow break to be taken between and define a time window.
- Click Complete to save.
- Configure your time tracking rules – you can decide how you want your time to be tracked.
- Choose whether activities and projects should be required when clocking in.
Note: These rules require a Premium plan. - When done, click Next.

- Set up automatic clock-out – avoid forgetting to clock out by enabling this feature.
- Tick the checkbox to allow Automatic clock-out.
- Choose whether to clock out after a specific duration or at a fixed time.
- Click Next.
- Add activities and projects– organize your work by linking time entries to activities, projects, and clients.
- Add an activity first.
- Then create a project, and optionally a client.
- Link clients to projects if needed.
- Click Complete when finished.
- Click Start Jibbling — and you’re ready to go! 🎉
You can now track your hours, manage projects, and stay on top of your work — all from your Jibble workspace.
