How to add seats to your organization?

Learn how to increase your seat count so you can add more members to your organization

If your organization has reached its seat limit, you’ll need to increase the number of seats before inviting more members. This guide explains how seats work and the different ways you can add them.

Understanding seats in your organization

A seat is a license for one active member in your organization. Every member that you invite or add occupies one seat.

Free Seats are free; you can invite or add as many members as you like without any cost.

Premium and Ultimate Seats are limited to the number included in your subscription. For example, if your plan has 20 seats, you can only have 20 active members. To invite more, you’ll need to purchase additional seats.

Adding seats via the People page

  1. Go to People and you’ll land on the Members page.
  2. Click on Add members.
  3. Under the Add member tab, if your organization needs more seats, you’ll see a message saying:
    • Add X more user seats to your plan. You’ll need to purchase 1 seat for users in your existing plan before you can add them to your team. When you click Save you’ll be guided to the payment page.
  4. Fill in the member’s name and either email address or phone number.
  5. Or toggle off the invite toggle if you prefer not to send an invite.
  6. Click Save.
  7. A pop-up window will appear — click Confirm to add the additional seat.
  8. And click Confirm again to invite the member.

Adding seats via the Subscription tab

  1. Go to the Organization tab and click on the Subscription tab.
  2. In the Your organization section:
    • If you’re part of more than one organization, you’ll see all organizations you own here.
    • If you’re part of only one, you’ll see just that organization.
  3. Click on Manage plan next to the organization.

Note: Only owners or admins with permissions will see this button.

  1. Click on Add users, then adjust the seat count using the up or down buttons.
  2. Once satisfied, click Confirm payment.
